nearly 100 clean technology companies providing solar, wind, biofuel, energyefficient
technology and much more. The Sacramento Region has some of the best
educational institutes that provide a viable workforce. Our area is poised to meet the
growing demand for clean energy and technology. More importantly, our clean
technology companies will contribute to sustained economic growth for our region
and beyond.
SARTA’s CleanStart program provides resources that afford success and growth for
Sacramento Region Clean Energy Technology (CET) companies. Join us (inventors,
incubators, investors, industry experts, government, university, nonprofit and real
estate developers) as we explore the region’s key role in this growing trend — and
how we all can benefit. The key objectives for this conference include: providing a
“link” to experts with information in the key areas of running a successful green
business; showcasing the regional technical cluster of excellence in clean technology;
and showcasing the promising local clean technology companies, all with the hope

The California Retail Food Code requires that retail food facilities which handle unpackaged food must employ at least one person who is certified in food safety. Certification in food safety requires passing a state approved examination, demonstrating knowledge of the causes of food borne illness and mandatory practices for prevention. Upon passing the examination, a certificate will be issued, valid for 60 months.
BERC will conduct a 7 hour Food Safety Manager class and administer the certification examination which meets the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code.
Please contact the instructor, Duane O’Donnell, R.E.H.S., for additional information at (916) 649-0225 or email dodonnell@sacberc.org.
You also have the option of registering and paying for the class online using a credit or debit card.
